Birds Leave

Find the dirty.

I went for a walk the other day with friends. Turns out, Ohio has cool parks! Yay.

I used to spend a lot of time in the woods, so it was sort of blast from the past. Except … there was just … something

About halfway through our walk, I figured out why it felt a bit different: no birds!

The birds leave Ohio in late fall/winter as it gets fucking cold. Ah-ha!

If I could write on a tree (and I can, so maybe I will), I would write: Some days I write words no one will read but you.

And then! Many people would read those words. Maybe they would feel special. Or they would roll their eyes. Or they would pull out their blade and etch “QUEEF”.

  1. That’s not a word that first comes to mind when thinking of carving into a tree.
