Taking His Hand

Taking His HandI’m excited to announce that Taking His Hand is available for the Amazon Kindle!

This is the second book in the Under His Roof series. Here’s the blurb:

David and Rachel continue along their exploration in domestic discipline.

David, a professional disciplinarian, spanks women for a living. After Rachel, his newest client, came to see him, he couldn’t take his mind off of her. She’s smart, pretty, and very submissive.

Rachel, too, had feelings for David. When he asked her to dinner, she readily accepted. But as she got to know him outside of the professional setting, it was clear that spankings would play an important role in any relationship they had.

Which, however odd it made her feel initially, was a comfortable idea.

Taking His Hand is a domestic discipline novella.

To celebrate, Under His Roof, the first book in the series, is available FREE on Amazon today through Sunday! If you haven’t picked up a copy yet, head on over and download it.

Free is a very good price.

And the Winner is…

Thanks to everyone who commented and tweeted for a chance to win a copy of Under His Roof

The winner is…

Lorraine, who says:

New to this, never heard of the term domestic discipline… Methinks I need a chat with hubby… I’ve been lacking in the household goddess department….

Well, Lorraine, you have now heard of domestic discipline. Good luck to you if you have that chat with the hubster. ;)

Here’s one of my favorite recent reviews of Under His Roof from Amazon:

I couldn’t put it down I read the whole thing right after downloading…. It was sooo captivating that i wished David was a real character that I met in real life… The author demonstrated him as hot and wild yet strong and a professional disciplinarian… The character that many women having fantasy with! It also showed the many types of sub women who wants to get spanked and why exactly they feel they need it!

I loved the spanking parts and the way Rachel was falling in love with her authority figure! On the other hand, Rachel (the main character) is a down to earth woman that no matter how strong she appears around her coworkers.. She’s still weakened by a handsome wild man

That story is a delicious mix of pain and pleasure

For those who are curious, two of my projects right now are a sequel to Under His Roof (which I have now written TWICE…third time’s the charm, right?) and… fucking drumroll, please… another Rock Creek book! Yay!

Creation Station

Yesterday I was brilliant. I pulled out my crap-ass computer of suckiness, and set it up next to my new computer of greatness.

Why, you ask? (Even if you don’t ask, I’m gonna tell, so be nice and ask! Ask!)

Because…

  • I have step-by-step formatting guidelines that I’ve made for print books and covers. Since I got a nifty phone, I’ve used my phone as my second screen. Not ideal for many reasons. Pulling up my instructions on my old computer, I can format the shit out of books with ease. No more switching back and forth between programs!
  • A friend of mine recently suggested typing out, verbatim, the text of a novel I enjoy. All the way through. Train the fingers to write. This sort of thing. He also suggested typing out a story of mine. I’ve been stuck (as in, seriously, I’m sitting in a vat of glue in the fucking Elmer’s factory and cannot move) with a couple of books. Today, I started typing out what I’ve got so far for the sequel to Under His Roof. It actually isn’t bad! To be honest, it’s pretty hot. Past-me did good. I’m revising as I go, and it’s working. Admittedly, I don’t need the second screen because Scrivener is incredible, but I like it.
  • Having two computers is cool.

So, now you know what the desk of this writer is like. Other writers/stay-at-home workers/self-employed folks– what do your desks look like?

Reminder: Social Service is free today through Thursday. An anthology I’m in called Cream of the Crop: Disciplined Sex is free today as well.
